How do I book my next appointment?

How far in advance do I need to book?

We generally recommend booking your appointment at least one week in advance, or booking your next appointment with us in the studio at the time of your visit. Appointments can fill quickly around special and seasonal events (for example, close to Christmas, Cup Week and wedding season) so you may wish to book further in advance to secure your spot during these times.

 

Should I wash my face before my appointment?

To ensure you entire appointment is spent receiving new lashes, not removing old eye makeup, please remove all eye makeup and wash your eyes thoroughly before your appointment.

 

How long will my appointment take?

You lash extension appointment will take 1 to 2.5 hours, depending on the style of lashes you choose and the artist you see. Other services including spray tans and henna brows generally take between 15 and 60 minutes.

 

How long will my lashes last?

Most people lose up to three natural lashes per day. This means that after three weeks an average of 63 natural lashes would have fallen out.

To keep your lashes in tiptop shape, you will need your lashes in-filled every 2-3 weeks.

 

How often will I need to get in-fills?

We offer infill services to keep your lashes looking their best. Most clients will require their lashes to be in-filled every 2-3 weeks.

Lashes that have less than 50% extensions on them, or lashes that were applied more than four weeks ago, will be charged as a full set.

Please note that in-fills cannot be applied to lashes from other salons for insurance reasons. A full lash removal and a new set is the best way to transition.

 

What kind of lashes do you use? What are lashes made from?

We use “silk” lashes at Lady Lash. They are ‘synthetic’ silk, and are known as such for their soft quality. Other types of lashes include faux mink (our other preferred option) and acrylic lashes. Some salons offer unethical real mink and fox fur lashes. The cruel treatment of animals in harvesting their fur is against Lady Lash’s values. In addition to the abhorrent treatment of the animals, the fur does not hold a curl and is irritating to our eyes.

 

Is there anything I shouldn’t do after getting my lash extensions?

We recommend that you do not swim, shower, go the gym, sauna, stream room or cook over a hot service for at least 12 hours after application as the adhesive is still curing. Doing any of these activities may affect the lash adhesive, which may lead to premature lash extension loss. After this time you can treat your lashes like your own – with care, of course!

 

Should I wash my lashes or keep them dry?

Lash health is incredibly important, so you should definitely keep your lashes clean! At Lady Lash we have a lash extension specific lash cleanser that we recommend available for purchase. When washing your face be gentle around your eye area and never use products containing oil around your extensions, as this will break down the adhesive.

 

Do I need to have my lashes removed at Lady Lash?

You can have your lash extensions professionally removed by one of our lash artists, or you can allow your extensions to fall out over time with your natural lashes. The life cycle of your natural lashes is typically 3 – 4 weeks.

 

Is on-site parking available?

Lady Lash is located at 10 Bath Street, City Centre. There is 3 on-site parks available, but also plenty of roadside parking on Bath Street or across the road at South City Mall.

What is your cancellation policy?

New client appointments require 50% non-refundable booking fee at the time of booking. Your booking fee will be forfeited in the case of cancellation within 48 hours of appointment time. Booking fee will be carried over to rescheduled appointment if rescheduled before the 48-hour period.

We understand that cancellations or reschedules are occasionally necessary. We ask to be notified of a cancelled or rescheduled appointment at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations received within 48 hours will incur a $50 (lash) or $30 (brow) cancellation fee, or forfeit of booking fee.

 

Can I bring my children or friends?

Due to the size of our salon, hazardous equipment and insurance guidelines, it is not appropriate for children or friends to accompany you at your appointment.

 

Do you offer refunds?

Refunds will not be given for any reason. Our time is precious and this is what your costs cover, as well as your fantastic lashes/brows/teeth. Free removal is available if you suffer from an allergic reaction within the first 48 hours after lash application.
